The process
Stockman Atelier busts are handmade in the workshop near Paris in around ten steps involving five crafts. The whole process takes an average of 72 hours per bust. This expertise is passed down from generation to generation. Thanks to this craftsmanship, Stockman has supplied busts to haute couture houses and fashion companies for decades.
As a symbol of quality, our fitting busts bear the black Stockman logo on the neck and the “Made in France” mark on the back.
Stockman Atelier Collection
The Stockman Atelier collection consists of fitting busts and trouser forms for professional use. The busts have a papier-mâché base made from recycled paper and are covered in ecru cotton canvas; organic cotton is also available. References and waist markings on the stomach help identify the model and size.
Unless otherwise requested, Atelier busts and trouser forms are supplied with the classic black metal Stockman tripod. The wooden pole and black wooden knob (“poignée”) allow the bust to rotate without moving the base. The height is adjustable.
Stockman Vitrine collection
By combining the sobriety of the drape with the perfection of the line, Stockman busts are the ideal partners for the most beautiful shop windows, shops and boutiques in the world. This elegance allows them to be fully at the service of the garment presented, only being noticed by the refinement of a detail or the perfection of a finish.
Largely handcrafted in the workshop near Paris, the busts are made of fibreglass and covered with various, constantly renewed fabrics. In addition to classic cotton and linen coverings, the collection also includes coloured cotton and satin fabrics of a more refined nature, as well as imaginative prints that make these busts into fully-fledged decorative objects. There are also several bases available, both in wood and metal.
Thanks to the continuous search for new fabrics and the unparalleled expertise of our seamstresses and finishers, Stockman busts are both timeless and extremely trendy presentation objects.

The flexibility of French production makes it possible to produce busts in large or small series, or even individually, almost completely custom-made. This can be done, for example, by using a specific fabric or applying the customer's logo. The endless choice of finishes and the refined, recognizable details make each bust unique.
Atelier or Vitrine: which Stockman bust is right for you?
Stockman offers two collections, each with its own purpose. The Atelier collection is made to work on, the Vitrine collection to present.
Atelier collection
- Use: designing, draping, fittings and pattern making
- For: fashion designers, couture and bridal ateliers, and fashion schools
- Base: papier-mâché made from recycled paper
- Covering: wadding covered in ecru or organic cotton, fully pinnable
- Stand: black metal Stockman tripod, height-adjustable and rotating without moving the base
- Recognisable by: the Stockman logo on the neck, the model and size on the stomach
Vitrine collection
- Use: display in shop windows, stores, showrooms or museums
- For: boutiques, fashion stores, department stores, museums and exhibitions
- Base: fibreglass
- Covering: wadding covered in cotton, linen, coloured fabrics or prints
- Stand: a choice of bases in wood, metal, chrome or steel, or a suspension system
- Finish: of your choice, from neck cap to wooden arms

How to order
Stockman busts are not supplied from stock but made for you in the workshop near Paris. This is how your order works:
- Personal advice. Contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp. Together we discuss how you will use the bust and which model, size and finish suit it. You will receive our brochures, size charts and photos of previous projects.
- The right size. The brochures list the measurements of each model in centimetres. Because every bust is handmade, measurements may vary by about 1 cm. Unsure between two sizes? We will help you choose.
- Quotation. You receive a tailored quotation, excluding VAT and shipping costs.
- Made in France. After your order, your bust is made by hand. Delivery takes about two weeks.
- Delivery. Your bust is shipped directly from France to your address.
Custom work
Would you like a bust in your own fabric, with special lettering or with the logo of your atelier, brand or school on the neck? That is possible. Mention it in your request and we will discuss the options with you.
Schools and larger quantities
Stockman makes busts individually as well as in small and large series. For fashion schools, retail chains and museums, we are happy to put together a tailored proposal.
